Andrea handled a simultaneous sale and purchase for us and was amazing throughout the process. She guided us and gave us advice each step, though was willing to support our choices if we wanted to do something different. She helped us navigate some unique choices made by the seller and made sure we weren't taken advantage of, supporting our emotional responses, but ultimately keeping us on track with our goals when our emotions went a different direction. Andrea is truly a 5 star agent. A friend recommended her and said “Andrea will really work hard for you”. We found that to be true. She helped us find a new house, then quickly sold our previous house within 5 days of hitting the market. Beside being an excellent agent she was fun to be with and very personable. When selling our old house she hired a wonderful photographer and had it staged to show it off in a fabulous way. I recommend her highly. You couldn’t do better.

Andrea is an amazing and very professional realtor. She made her self very available and helped me find the perfect house. She paitently went through tons of houses with me and then when we found the perfect one, she had an offer together and ready to present within a few hours!! Talk about fast! She also managed to set up an inspection to happen within 24 hours! She is all kinds of amazing. Her partner, Jarl was able to show us houses when she was unavailable. She is always available through text and email and worked very hard for us! We are blessed to have found such and amazing realtor. She has so much experience that she even got us everything we asked for as a result of our inspection. In the second half of 2012, I purchased a home, and then sold the old home, with Andrea's help. Met her at an open house in the old neighborhood earlier in the spring and liked her immediately. That listing sold promptly and became a solid, significantly more expensive comp for the old house. Most impressed with the invaluable, pertinent, timely data she had about the local market, backed up with lots of printed reports. Tons of information with NO sales hype throughout our entire transaction period. Jarl assisted as well when it came to listing the old house in September. Whether buying or selling, I always felt in very capable, professional, well-respected hands with this team. Andrea's response time to voicemail or email was often instantaneous. I appreciated her recommendations as to an excellent local bank for a bridge loan, home inspector, even the small mom-and-pop business that installed carpet in my new house. But by far I'm most appreciative of having vast amounts of comparable information for purchasing the new house, determining the maximum, realistic list price of the old, and no realtor hype or pressure; none. The old house received a full-price offer on Day 26 and proceeded smoothly to closing. I can recommend Jarl and Andrea whole-heartedly and without any reservations!

I was looking to buy my first home when I was lucky enough to be referred to Andrea through another agent. I would say my situation was pretty straight forward and given this was my first time buying a house, I wanted to approach it very pragmatically. Andrea was completely understanding of my way of thinking and as well as my limits regarding price, location, etc. Each time we looked at homes, I was comfortable enough with her to be honest regarding my views and feelings on the place. Often times we found ourselves having the same sentiments regarding a place. I even felt comfortable enough to ask her to stand in for me during a home inspection when I couldn't be do to a scheduling conflict I couldn't change. When I finally entered into contract negotiations for my eventual first home, Andrea helped guide me through the process and explained each step that was going to happen as this was the area I was least prepared for. If you are looking for help to buy a home, whether it is your first (like me) or subsequent, I cannot recommend Andrea enough. I was very lucky she was agent and I look forward to when she and I will get to work together again.

Andrea went beyond out expectations in selling our home. She arranged contractors to do work needed to complete the sale and had the house staged beautifully. Through her efforts the house was under contract 2 days after listing. Her negotiating skills are excellent as we received a much higher amount that the listing price.

We were first-time home buyers and Jarl & Andrea really made the experience great! They were patient, gave honest opinions, very knowledgeable, and we always felt they had our best interests in mind. We could always get ahold of them and they were prompt about sending us new houses to consider, setting up appointments for viewings, and anything else we needed. If you're reading this review, you are in GREAT hands!!! Jarl and Andrea are two of the finest people you will ever meet. Buying my first home was so scary as I didn't know what to expect or even how the process worked. I was truly fortunate enough to get the opportunity to meet these two and have them ease my nerves every step along the way. I feel they should receive a medal and also a year paid gas card for all the trips they did with me to check out potential homes. Both so patient and so amazingly down to earth. You'll want to hangout with them every day and be best friends because they make you feel so welcomed and cared for and it's real. Years later, I wouldn't trust anyone else to help me with the selling process. As usual, these two are so professional and on top of every detail. They want the best for their clients and will go to great lengths to make each client feel special. Every step was so planned and professional. The pictures and staging of the home were taken care of and were so beautiful. Thankful to have these beautiful souls with me for buying and selling my home. They are literally THE BEST!!!

Our experience with Jarl and Andrea was wonderful! We originally were referred to both of them because they were a young family like ours and those referring them felt we would be able to connect on several levels. Throughout the home buying process they made us feel so valued but most importantly understood our needs and wants and never compromised any of those. Andrea Fjortoft gave us superb, conscientious insight and support before and during the sale of our home in spring 2016. Her acute sense of market trends and buyer priorities helped drive wise pre-sale decisions on updating the property; she was happy to consult with us months before the FOR SALE sign went up. Her intimate knowledge of the area on a block-by-block basis informed a smart pricing strategy; and her valuable connections to an expert stager and excellent photographer resulted in a magnetic online listing that drew drive-bys within two hours of posting. Thanks to Andrea we had an immediate tide of interest from qualified buyers and a solid full-price offer in one week. I know there are new alternatives in the residential realty business that lead with technology, but Andrea proved the essential value of hyperlocal market experience and old-school human contact. She was also a great collaborator on details like marketing copy and brochure design. Despite what you read about the Seattle-area market being "on fire" with inventory in short supply, it is still possible for sellers to make all sorts of errors (on pricing, decorating, marketing, etc.) and with Andrea we never put a foot wrong. We interviewed four broker teams before listing our Edmonds home for sale on July 17. Andrea and Jarl were the clear choice due to their professionalism and understanding of the market.
