Why Real Estate?
For me, real estate has always been about relationships, not transactions. Whether you’re buying your first home or selling your third, I will take the time to connect with you so that I understand your needs and goals. My own goal is to ensure your transaction surpasses your expectations and moves you forward successfully in life. I work with buyers and sellers for residential real estate, as well as land acquisition and development. I enjoy the nuances of learning the building and zoning codes of different jurisdictions and how to optimize a property’s worth. My clients have found my unique expertise in construction and remodeling invaluable in making the best decision to maximize the value of their home and meet their goals, whether buying or selling on market or off.
Background
I was born and raised in the small town of Snohomish, about 30 minutes north of Seattle. After high school, I entered the United States Army where I was positioned in the intelligence community, spending time in Arizona, Texas, and a deployment to Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom (2003-2004). After my military service, I decided I was tired of hot, dry climates (and combat zones), and moved back to Seattle. While earning my degree in business management, I worked full time designing and installing home theater systems. I developed a love of real estate going into thousands of Seattle area homes for installs, but I craved a more relationship-based role. I made the leap to real estate full-time in 2013 at the Seattle Windermere Wedgwood office. In 2021, I became a managing broker to provide higher level expertise to my clients and support to my team.
About Me
My beautiful wife Lanae, son Grady and our mini goldendoodle Mabel round out the family. Lanae was also born and raised in the Seattle area and is a pediatrician, working as an outpatient physician for her Swedish Edmonds practice. In the winter months, you can find me on the ice at the Granite Curling Club, honing my sweeping skills. When time and weather permit in the other seasons, I enjoy a loop around any of the local golf courses. Family and friends are an important part of our life, and we make it a point to balance our work and personal lives. We are avid Seattle sports fans and feel the Pacific Northwest is one of the best places in the world to live, work, and play!
Windermere Affiliation
Besides being integral to how I’ll market your home or represent your purchase, my affiliation with Windermere is important in other ways. We share the same values and understand this truth: people are more important than profits. I support the work of the Windermere Foundation – which is committed to helping low-income and homeless families throughout our local community – by donating a portion of my commission from every sale, including yours.
