After earning my JD and MBA from Seattle University, I returned to the Stanwood Camano area in 2005 in order to start my practice of law. I became a licensed Real Estate Broker in 2011, and joined Windermere Real Estate. In January 2013, I was elected to the Board of Land Title & Escrow, and have been reelected for two subsequent terms. In November 2020, I was elected as a Washington State Representative to represent the 10th Legislative District.
I am committed to public service, and am active in numerous local non-profits, including the Stanwood Camano Rotary Club where I served on the board of directors for 5 years and as club president in 2009-2010. I was the founding member and served as the General Coordinator for the Rotary Adventure Playground, a project which brought together over 1000 volunteers to build a community playground on Camano Island. I am also a past board member of Safe Harbor Free Clinic and the Stanwood Camano Food Bank.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife Megan and our two sons, cycling and reading.
