My Real Estate History
I have been active in the real estate industry in Anacortes since 1979. During the last 28 years I have served on board and officer positions with the Skagit County Association of Realtors and the Washington State Association of Realtors. From 1982 to 2001 I owned and managed my own real estate brokerage. Upon selling the Windermere Real Estate/Anacortes company in 2001 I have remained there as an Associate Broker.
My Community Service
I have always believed in giving back to my community. During the past 28 years I have been very active in the Anacortes Chamber of Commerce (past president), Anacortes Rotary Club (past president), Skagit Valley College Foundation Board of Governors, Madrona, A curriculum for the Arts (past president) and a board memeber of the Anacortes/San Juan Chapter of the American Red Cross. Each year Windermere Real Estate contributes to their communities with a Community Service Day. Agents set aside that day to work on a hands on project to benefit their community. All of these experiences have been very rewarding.
Anacortes Real Estate Experience
From 1979 to 1989 I focused upon the existing home market. Beginning in 1989 opportunities to market developments in Anacortes became my main focus. From 1989 to 2005 I have had the opportunity to market 14 different projects in Anacortes with 467 homes. Today, I continue to work new home communities, past client referrals, sphere of influence buyers and sellers and have entered the commercial real estate market.
Designations
Real Estate Designations are important to the ongoing educational process. I received my real estate license in 1979. In 1985 I passed my brokers examination to become an Associate Broker. I received my CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designation in 1994. In 1999 I received my CRB (Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager) designation.
