My Journey with Windermere
I began my real estate career in 2013 and became a top producer in the first couple of years (Video). I attribute my success to driving my business from my heart and my natural interest in having genuine connections with people. That alone wasn't enough, however. As most brokers starting a new business know all too well, you have to work your tail off and treat your business from day 1 like the business you want it to become. It helped that my previous career had me working all over Puget Sound and in every corner of Whidbey Island. I worked closely with local government and non-profits on Whidbey and I know what programs and resources affect homeowners. This background helped me serve my fellow brokers when I made the decision to accept the manager position in 2017 and later ownership in 2019. In 2024, our family dynamics and priorities changed when my husband became a full-time firefighter for Central Whidbey. I am transitioning back to being a solo broker to allow for more flexibility and to get back to my passion for serving clients on the ground floor.
Why Windermere?
While Windermere is the top-rated real estate company on Whidbey Island, I was initially attracted to it because of the culture of camaraderie and collaboration. Windermere teaches agents how to build a business from relationships instead of cold sales strategies and has a commitment to giving back to their community through the Windermere Foundation and supporting awesome events like the Summer Concert Series and Practically Magic. I love how developing yourself in real estate personally and professionally can have profound impacts on not just your bottom line but on your relationships with others, with your community, and with yourself. Talk about a ripple effect...
It is my honor and pleasure to lead Windermere Real Estate/Whidbey Island.
About me...
As a youngster my parents instilled strength and curiosity in me by sailing the Pacific Ocean, hiking the Sierra Nevada’s and traveling abroad. This lead to sailing an 18th century replica ship from Canada to Australia and a five-year stint in New Zealand going to school and working. Back in Washington State I have had the honor and pleasure to work locally at WSU Extension and regionally as the Education and Outreach Manager and a grant and policy coordinator with the Puget Sound Partnership. I have thoroughly enjoyed helping people and organizations better understand and manage this amazing place we call home. I am delighted to be raising a family and a building a life in the most beautiful place on earth.
Love living here…
