I have worked with Mark Chavez on several transactions now. He has been one the most profession Real Estate Agents I’ve worked with. He was extremely attentive to his client’s needs. He always conferred with me before letting our clients make an offer to make sure that were in the best financial position. We "found" Mark at an open house we toured. He was personally engaging and let us take our time. We appreciated his non-pushy demeanor and gracious manner. It was several weeks later after meeting other realtors at various open houses we called Mark to ask for his services as our realtor. We were in no hurry and he definitely allowed us to go at our pace as we explored various neighborhoods and homes. He was always quick to respond to any and all questions and needs. At last we found the place we wanted to buy. Varying unusual circumstances clouded the information for our purchase and financing. Furthermore, the seller sought a very short time frame for closing. Without Mark's expertise in the processes, determination, and sheer moxie I doubt we would have ended up with this property. We are glad we did! As first-time home buyers, we couldn’t have asked for a better realtor. He helped us feel empowered by sharing resources so we could educate ourselves throughout the process (in addition to learning from him, of course). Mark is knowledgeable, patient, and dedicated, and it was a great comfort knowing we had him in our corner. He’s a consummate professional who knows home buying and selling intimately, which meant that we could trust him to guide us through the fast-paced and opaque process. Mark has been my neighbor few years so when I needed an agent to sell my condo it was a no-brainer. During the entire process he was prompt, courteous, responsive, thorough and professional at all times. He went above and beyond and thoroughly researched comps and anticipated issues before they came up. Mark was able to negotiate a full asking price offer and closed without any issues. Mark was a vital part of my home search. He is very knowledgeable about houses inside and out. The best part is that he shares that knowledge with his clients. Mark armed me with resources in his Homebuyers Kit. There was a book in this kit that helped me see properties from a different point of view. I found myself referring to the book when I saw something in the homes we toured. Mark goes above and beyond to research properties and provide all the info needed to make an informed decision. Mark really takes the time to get to know his clients and makes you feel comfortable. The best part is the he is bilingual and was able to communicate with those that felt more comfortable communicating in Spanish. He has honestly become a part of my family. I find myself sharing my experiences with family and friends and talking about Mark as if I've known him for years. He made my entire experience feel amazing. He was always in communication with me, even when he was out of town with his family. It was a blessing having Mark as my agent and I cannot imagine working with anyone else. I have known Mark socially for a while, and mentioned in passing that I was interested in investing in real estate. After a failed connection with a realtor in a different city, he pressed me on why I wouldn’t want to buy a primary residence in Kent. He listened to my story, and introduced me to a fantastic team that not only saw potential in me, but also got me into a home for less than expected!Mark is a consummate professional realtor. He sets expectations to a T and refuses to underdeliver. He connected me with a lender that worked to ensure I was comfortable with the whole process. He sourced inspectors, liaised with the selling agent, and put in significant time to calm my fears. Mr. Chavez 2 for 2 when it comes to top notch real estate services! He is a fantastic listener; somebody who aims to truly understand his clients' desires/needs and match them with the perfect offer on the market. We couldn't have been happier working with Mark Chavez from Windermere Mount Baker and we highly recommend you give him a call. We closed on our home in spring of 2021 after starting the process of searching in fall 2020. We toured 50+ homes as North as Edmonds, and as South as Renton. Almost every home we offered on sold for $100K over asking price but Mark and his team were there for us and supportive every single day. He constantly checked-in and reassured us about the process. He was also NEVER pushy, and we honestly feel like he was the perfect support we needed in an extremely heated, seller's market. We were particularly impressed with how Mark provided listing Comparables (comps) for every home we were interested in. These comps helped us further understand the nearby market and compare the home to recent sales in the area. Lastly, Mark is so valuable for his organization and preparation. As first time buyers, he provided a very useful home buying tool kit (a physical box of materials), and after closing he even gave us a starter move in kit that included boxes and other moving materials. I couldn't ask for a better real estate agent than Mark! He helped my husband and me purchase our current home and sell our previous one. The end to end process was super smooth and he took care of organizing all of the things we had to do and see. On the pace. Does his research. Drove me all over Seattle including ferries to help me decide what neighborhood I wanted. Good fun, intellectual conversation, EXCELLENT consultants at his fingertips, refused to let me be attached to any property until homework was done on neighboring properties, HOA economics. I've worked with Mark twice now on purchasing a home. He is professional and smart with his work. He has been flexible with his schedule and worked with other realtors to see properties when I was available. He's uber-informative about the process. He has collegial and consultative relationships with other professionals that benefit his clients. He networks to gather key information about the homes available and the market. He came to our showings well-prepared and informed. This has been an anxious time to buy a house. Mark has been honest and encouraging during the house hunt. If you are selling your home, we highly recommend Mark Chavez of Windemere as a selling agent. He and his assistant Joanna provide a range professional and effective services that make the process as stress free as possible. He communicates and he doesn’t sugar-coat the possible problems that can occur. This allowed us to make good decisions about when to sell and about setting a reasonable sale price. On his advice we vacated the home, had a pre-selling inspection, and used the staging service he recommended. As a result our home received multiple offers and then sold and closed quickly for 14% over asking price. Mark and Joanna are a great team. We would use them again. --Bryce and Carly
