Michael has been selling real estate in Friday Harbor and San Juan County since January of 2005. He is a Managing Broker as well as a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Accredited Sellers Representative (ASR) and an Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR). He was the 2010 president of the San Juan County Association of Realtors. Originally from Seattle, Michael started his real estate career in the Los Angeles area with Coldwell Banker in Woodland Hills in 2001. He quickly established himself as one of that office's most successful new agents. He purchased a house on Westcott Bay in 1999 and in 2004 Michael decided to move to San Juan full time.
Michael has a marketing background and before entering real estate, he worked in the music industry for over 25 years, 22 of those in marketing, promotion and advertising at Warner Bros Records. As a vice president there he helped create campaigns for dozens of artists ranging from Eric Clapton and Neil Young to Green Day. He now brings a marketing driven aproach to selling real estate, utilizing the latest technologies with an emphasis on internet exposure and providing extra value to his clients. Michael chose Windermere because of the company's technologically savvy approach and the extensive educational and training resources it provides to its agents.
Since moving to San Juan Island Michael has been involved in various community activities, joining the board of the Animal Protection Society of Friday Harbor for 7 years. He was active in animal rescue in Los Angeles and until recently had several rescued cats and a rescued dog who have now passed on. He was also active in the Roche Harbor Neighborhood Association and the Friday Harbor Chamber Of Commerce. His interests include travel, photography, skiing, reading, and of course music.
