Windermere Foundation & Community Involvement
Helping Homeless, Low-income Families and Children. Every transaction makes a difference Windermere’s commitment to serving our communities goes beyond providing our buyers and sellers the best in real estate services. Every time a Windermere broker sells a home, a portion of the commission goes to the Windermere Foundation, a non-profit organization. Contributions from Windermere brokers combined with contributions from Windermere employees and the public have allowed the Windermere Foundation to distribute in excess of a million dollars annually in recent years to non-profit agencies dedicated to helping homeless, low-income families and children.
Some local projects we have supported include: sending kids to summer camp, supporting mothers in crisis with brand new car seats to bring their new born baby's home from the hospital, provided "Back to School" supplies for families facing hardship, financially supported after school programs for low income families and served them hot meals once a month, purchasing eye glasses for children with vision problems, adopting families during the holidays to provide meals and gifts. In addition, each year we close the office and head up a project in the community to help others. It is a wonderful feeling to give back to the community we live and work in.
