What makes Hillsboro a unique place to live?

Where did Hillsboro, OR get its name?
Originally called East Tualatin Plains and Columbia, the city was crowned "Hillsborough" in February 1850 in honor of David Hill, one of the early pioneers, when he sold his land for $200 to the county. The city's name was later simplified to Hillsboro.
